Theology on Tap is over, but the next series starts in January
The Rev'd Patrick Gray
Tuesday Oct 16, 2007

Our next Theology on Tap series will be four weeks on “Portraits of Jesus”

Over 70 young adults in their 20s and 30s attended our last session of Theology on Tap this past Tuesday to hear Bishop Tom Shaw give an excellent presentation on the Gospel according to St. John. And over 120 young adults came to at least one of the four sessions in this series!

Our next Theology on Tap series will be four weeks on “Portraits of Jesus,” with the Advent's very own Dr. Jeff Hanson on “Postmodern Jesus” on January 8; The Reverend Hurmon Hamilton, Pastor of Roxbury Presbyterian Church and co-chair of the Greater Boston Interfaith Organization, on “Black Jesus” on January 15; Brother Jack Rathschmidt of the Capuchin Franciscan Friars on “Poor Jesus” on January 22; and Dr. Stephen Prothero, Chair of the Department of Religion at Boston University and author of the best-selling book entitled Religious Literacy: What Americans Need to Know. Dr. Prothero will do a presentation on “American Jesus,” which will be based on his best-selling book of the same name, on January 29.

This event will take place at Cheers Bar (below the Hampshire House) at 7 PM. So mark it down in your calendar now!
